The Hal and Charlie Peterson Foundation, originally endowed by the Peterson Brothers has over the years received contributions from the general public in amounts ranging from $5 to a bequest of over $1.6 million. Unrestricted contributions are applied to the Permanent Investment Fund. In addition there are donor funds administered by the Foundation which have funding restrictions. The John and Emma Lapham Endowment assists student nurses with costs of their education as does the Frank and Blanche Landers Memorial Fund. The Randall and Sonja Johnson Fund provides an annual contribution to the Kerr County United Way. The Reese Johnson Fund contributes annually to Any Baby Can.
The Hal and Charlie Peterson Foundation is a tax exempt foundation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are deductible to the extent allowed by law. Contributors may contact the Foundation office for guidance, but are encouraged to seek advice from their attorney or tax advisor.
